What do they think about us? How different can we be? Both were questions that came to my mind when the teacher said that we needed to send and receive emails to a person in asia for a quiz. I felt a little bit anxious due to i didn´t know what to say about my country. This project was made to know more our country and about the world.
ResponderEliminarAfter some classes i started to see how beautiful and interesting is our country, we have historic and important places like the national museum, guayabo and La platina, if they could talk they would tell a lot of histories. Now talking about what i learned in this project, i want to emphasis in how respectful and solidarity they are, Arm said, "It doesn´t matter if we don´t know each other, we will help help him or her.", also she said that in thailand they really like to be in family something that i think we are losing in Costa Rica. They are people who really care about be pure that´s why they wash their back luck playing with water in the songkran festival.
It has been a good oportunity to learn about the world, if i had had more people to talk, i would have definitely done it. I really liked to talk with a person from anoter country, we can be the same race bt we are very different because of four religion, culture, politic, food and personality. I wish i could meet more people like i have already done in videogames and this project and i want to thank the teacher for this oportunity.

About this, i must say that i like it. The experience of talking and know stuff about other countries it was a nice experience, and more if it is coming from someone who live in that country. It makes it nicely and interesting.

A place that caught all my attention was The Golden Temple. When akim told me about this place i was anxious to know about that place, and i asked to him, "Could you tell me more about this place?" Because it should be had a great history and why it was build and i want to know about that.
I also learn about our country, i know more about how beatiful it is our country, and how we dont appreciate untill someone ask about this. Like the National park: Manuel Antonio, I know about this place, but i didnt appreciate so beatiful it was before this experience.
One of the things that i also learn it is the differences of our country with other country, how they celebrate they festivals, or they food. it not so differences, but how people celebrate this stuff together it is so difference.
If i had had the opportunity to visited other country, i would have gone to thailand, to see those places and festivals that my international friend told me about, to see with my own eyes the things that catch my attention.

When the teacher said we had to create a conversation with someone abroad I found it interesting because we were going to know other cultures, then it was difficult to know information about Safe since it was harder to answer. It was a difficult person to understand because it is in the basic level so he wrote very short sentences and gave little information, also he went on Vacation and was almost a week without answering the email and it was difficult to create a conversation, he never sending photos or information I asked and he responded with very short answers almost not information I needed and if I had to send information to another person, I would have been more responsible. It was very difficult to create a presentation.
ResponderEliminarWhen he came back from vacation I could create me an idea of how to live in Thailand. Also sent me information on your family, your hobbies and habits, I could see how it was to live such a different country. He said had different celebration like the New Year or the father’s day for example he told me, “We celebrated the father´s day with the king of Thailand” and also know the city, its favorite food and the water fight with elephants they make to end of the year and said that Thailand has a tropical climate and it is hot and humid but where he lives almost no rain and their religion Buddhism is the dominant religion, about 95% of the population is Buddhist and the king is sacredness, the place most visited by tourists and the borders of Thailand.
This project served me to learn a different culture of Costa Rica; someday I would like to go to Thailand and get to know all Safe told me and so to live a new experience. With the little information could be sent to me to know how the life of a young. the celebrations that impressed me is most was the end of the year where they make water fight with elephants and the father´s day celebrate by going to the king and the different buildings, meals and even the weather that Safe told me. I also learned that we have to appreciate our country because in Thailand you have to do what the king says without contradicting and so I prefer to live in a democratic country like ours without being governed by one person.

This project was done to know more about other countries but also I learned about my country too. We chatted using english since we talk different languages. When I heard about this project, I was nervous because I suppose I couldn't talk with him and I didnt know what to say about my country. Maybe I had some problems at beginning but after the first conversation, we talked more easily.
ResponderEliminarI realy enjoyed how different could be people in another country and how with the internet we can meet them. If I hadn't met Bega I wouldn´t have known about a country unknown as turkmenistan. He said that he is wrestler. I could see for his photos that he realy enjoys that sport. Something curious is he told me that they have a president but when I see the pictures he put I saw a man riding a horse and a man wearing elegant clothes and other things like that. I think he wanted to gives me a good impresion of his country, then I can´t know the real version, I only knows his point of view.
I talked with a stranger simply using english and that was amazing. How we could comunicate our information knowing a lenguaje. I am happy to have had this opportunity. I hope know people and practice my english at the same time again. I learned about my country knowing about other counrtries. we live in a good place and I wont change it.
I know this place but if someone has asked me where is this hole, I wouldn't have guessed

ResponderEliminarI find it nice to know someone from another country, and to know other cultures, other ways in which people live and see the world, it seems very ineterasante, and see to practice a subject that I find it hard to be the English, is fascinating, I see and learn other languages opens sunsets and friends. The world is big and to know from my beautiful country through the internet and using other languages he understood what they want to say is great.
Thanks to the teacher who had the opportunity to live this exprencia, contact someone on the other side of the world and learn about the culture to know what else he likes to do to others, the person who touched me is my peronsa who does not like to talk much cost me much to talk to him, I told me is that he likes video games and what caught my attention also he liked sports.
When he sent me photos of your country these care way too populated large, I find something green group contained in those pictures, I see that my country is the most beautiful in the world that still maintains nature dene places to go play outdoors knows that the people here are friendly and still we take time to enjoy the cavity and leave the business side. expriencia thanks to the teacher who gave us appreciate more what I have and respect other ways of thinking.

ResponderEliminarWith this experience you benefit in several ways; one of them is know of countries that maybe never be able to visit and also to show my culture and my country, as happened with Jin Young, who lives in Korea and is studying a course of English similar to that I am studying at this time. Thanks to her, I could see places like korea Chongue Stream Park, Jin told me that this park was restored because it had been crossed by a highway and Korea invested lot of money in reforestation projects.
Second, we were able to help without knowing, for example, grammatical aspects of English language and also we share feelings at a distance because she was concerned that I understood her, but I told her not to worry because I was wrong the same.
Finally, this experience not only allowed me to practice the English language, but I also I bring cultural knowledge. I learned that we live in different countries, but we are all in the same boat, our countries have the same problems. I learned that if humans look the way people communicate, we could solve many of our problems. but the most fascinating of this experience is that I now have a new Korean friend Jin Young.

I think our class is doing a very good job with our teachers because they are giving us the opportunity to meet people from other countries and cultures with a good guide. For example, my experience has been very satisfactory.
ResponderEliminarMy friend from Thailand was very nice because it was the first time I am writing to someone I do not know. I could share many things even without knowing her. For example, I talked about our customs, our places in Costa Rica, our meals and our national symbols, as well as my family and other important things of Costa Rica. She told me that she would like to visit my country on occasion and if she came to Costa Rica I would like to host her at my house and take her to visit many places of which I mentioned.
Told me about the King of her country which is very loved by the people. For me it is very strange to have a king. Also many places of her country, the climate, their meals and the capital Bangkok seem to me incredible by the very particular style of its buildings.
One of the places that I loved was the floating market, which one day would like to know. It is interesting to see how different food types sold boats.
I would like to get to know her family and some of her friends. If I had enough money, I could go for a ride on my next vacation.
I thank life for having known such a beautiful person that introduced me to a picture of a country with a culture so different from ours. They are nice people with principles and values similar to ours. I hope to continue our friendship.
My experience was normal, i almost hadn’t communication with my international friend so I didn’t learn so much, but is a lot of interesting because, I have as friend on Facebook and the things he post are very strange, so I have something different to see there even when he write in his language face has something for traduce what he wrote so I always search the meanings.
ResponderEliminarSomething interesting that I learned is that they eat the food so much spicy, they have many different dishes for eat and all are very spicy so they enjoy those kinds of things, in Costa Rica is not the same, of course we have different kind of food to but we is no a custom eat food as they, was very difficult for me said the name of the food and the name of my friend.
His name is: kampanart Narongkul but he told me that I could call him golf.
I need say that was a different experience due to I never met someone like him or I never talk with a person from Thailand, If I was met him to other way; it would have a different sense for me. so now I know that even when the guys are from different countries they likes the same things, like soccer he said that he liked to play soccer on the beach, he had too many pictures doing that so that was true, besides he was very specific about the team that he like was Manchester united, I’m happy with the new experience I had.
