First i think both opinions are acceptable and they could help us to improve and see what is wrong with our country. I think corruption is the main problem due to all the problems come from it. Second, the first commentary seems that he didn´t adapt well to our culture and as result of it he suffered really bad experiences. I think a lot of tourists are ingenuous and they think that every country is like US. But i think he should say more good things about us due to he stay two and half years here.
ResponderEliminarI like how in the video he shows that we are great people with some problems and how to deal with it. Also he shows that you can live here without problems you only need to adapt. i hope with this new government we can progress and change that idea about our country. I would like to see this country with more foreign living here ´cause they can bring good costumes that can help us. Finally i think we need to be more polite with them and don´t put them in the same bag(referring about sex tourism).
I´m agree with you, and tourists should be better adapted to our country because not everything is bad here.Costa Rica is a country of traditions and values that foreigners could come to also explore. I think that corruption, exists in all countries. Really sad to read and hear these comments from our country but you 're right that it could help us improve.
EliminarGood point, they are disagree with many things in our country and they have problems living here, but Costa Rica has something that keeps them here. those are the good reason to live here but they have prefered not say them. I think they were naive, thinking in our country like a perfect place to live is obvious we have problems to resolve.

ResponderEliminarCosta Rica is a paradaise for its nature but it really have a lot of problems. First I respect the opinions of the both reports but I think it depends of the time that you live here.I know foreigns had been living in Costa Rica for long time and They said ¨Is true that Costa Rica there is too much traffic and corruption but we are living better condition here than in our country¨. Second, I think that all countries are on the same boat for example there are a lot of polluted as Costa Rica as El Salvador.Maybe, if Costa Ricans do differents things, foreigns will change to opinions about us. I can not belive that Costa Rica is see as a sexual paraidise and Costa Ricans are incompetent.We should be able to change that image with our actions towards them.Ticos are workers,intelegent and polite. Finally I think Costa Rica is trying to change things as result of this is the election of new non-traditional government.

EliminarIt is true that tourism is being exploited, because tourists are realizing that there are other countries that have better places and better ways to serve and cheaper. Additional problems is security, traffic and pollution and health.
I think many people criticize Costa Rica but also many people had many good experiences.
Costa Rica is a small country that has everything and has different kinds of weather and are trying to improve on what you can.
We also have a big problem of prostitution, that they contribute to the foreign money that they offer them. But I think many of the problems that we also are global problems that are very difficult to solve.

EliminarIn my opinion, he’s right when he say the tourists come to Costa Rica we treat them as rich people and they can buy anything. Also our streets and services are bad, but these last years the new government has tried to improve it and I hope this going to be a better country.
ResponderEliminarCosta Rica now has better services and the tour guides are more prepared. The new government tried to fix new laws and services. The beaches are clean and with police officer so the tourists are not stolen or cheated. The person in the video tried to say we are good and religious people with very different customs and it is difficult to change but I think our culture is not the same but we don’t have too much difference with the U.S., because with the internet, television or movies they feel likes their country and when they try to visit or live here they will not feel a lot of changes.

I agree with you because many Americans get married in Costa Rica with very young women but also are sexually exploited by them. ResponderEliminarwell, both guys have a lot of reason because as the guy of the video said isn't the same culture,so compare the countries is not a good idea ,when tourist comes here they see all so beautiful, and that is for they just enjoy everything and didn't think in the ugly part, but, when they stay here for a lot of time see all the problems we have.if they want to do a business here they need to have too many documents and rules to do it.so when they need workers they think we are lazy people because our culture have an hour to do the things and that is true, the tico time is a problem here. but the documentary to the first man said too many bad things about our country that it could be false like the woman only think in his money perhaps that's happen to him because he search a woman in a night club.
ResponderEliminarthen the commentary about the food Costa rica shouldn't have the best food but isn't the worst. also, why if here we have a lot of diseases into the food they and others countries import too many products from here for spending there, i think the first guy is just a sad person for the bad experience he lived, but isn't the same for all foreign people,he talk about the streets are really bad and is true well, like in many countries we have too much problems with the corruption in the government. and the last point a want to talk is, we are very polite with the people from the others countries, even they don't have money because, smile to the others is a custom in Costa Rica.
You're right. He talked about things he saw, his experiences. always we'll see bad and good people. This depends where we search. about the food our country, in fact we use less fertilizer and pesticide than US. many people in US eat fast food and in the best of the cases, they eat canned fruits highly processed. they can't talk about healthy food

EliminarFirst i think both guys are right in many things as well wrong in others.The first list of opinions negative about Costa Rica have a few things right as many wrong, Ticos Have a perspective good and bad about most part of the tourist, but this is not only in Costa Rica, in other country's its the same. People looking for their money or for their own good. A bad experience don't justifies a bad critique. About the video, I agree and disagree about things, for example Costa Rica its a nice place to live, but if you have something sure as a job or money, or many studies because here its very expensive because tax. A few bad things of Costa Rica that are true is the corruption of our government and maybe about the food, but its almost the same of other country´s is not the best but not the worse.

All comments have something in common, is that Costa Rica is a great place to visit and live, I like that everyone is seeing is cultural problem with respect to the alien who comes to our country treat it as rich and they can pay more. When you go to a national park or certain rrestaurantes prices exist for Nationals and Foreigners, recently had a truly unique experience with my family, went to a restraurantes and they give us the menu price is a hefty inches but when it comes to pay for food came cheaper, this was because the menu was for foreigners and were given time to pay we were to come here and left a little cheaper. Here, as in every country government formalities are long and many paperwork in united states is equal to or more than contralados here from a life insurance contranten them there that brings them cash for a process of research, and here is steps do respond to insurance, I think Costa Rica has its serious things like giving directions and local one as tico it plays a little but still lost because of (stick handles) that is no longer or there are 20 more or no one know haha. I think that's the biggest sin of Costa Rica does not have good signage to locate us, but we also fail to see the stranger as an unlimited bag of money you can come here to pay on certain whims places to see the beauties temenos, when a tico pay a third of what they pay them. And they must adaptarce to a new country, we are good people with tourists, but not always expect all treatment preference as in united states one can receive racism as it suffered myself at a restaurant in orlando.

In other hand we can talk about other countries. Every country has problems and this is not a reason to forget them to travel or live there. ResponderEliminarIs obvious if you travel you'll find workers who serve you in hotels and restaurants for example. They are working to do the things more confortable to tourist.
You can find different people living in a county so you need to be careful who is dangerous and you dont judge everyone together. Finally we are a country of the third world so we dont have many things a first world country has, for lucky of us.
I am agree with the video and it is hard to hear negative things about our country but sometimes we need to hear these things to improve our country.
